Located in Wilmette, IL near Lake Michigan, this is one of seven Baha'i Temples throughout the world and the only one located in the United States. It was designed Louis Bourgeois and construction was completed in 1953- 32 years after it began. The entire structure is covered with ornamental cement detailing.
